Local Singles Organization Celebrates Successful First Year

At a time of year most Singles would prefer to sleep through, Park Place Singles helps beat the ‘Valentine’s Blues’ with a party that celebrates a successful first year in business. Columbus Singles are invited to join Park Place and its Members for the 2 nd Annual Valentine’s Happy Hour Party at Donerick’s Pub on F riday, February 10, 2006 from 6 – 8 PM. This provides a great opportunity for Singles to meet, while enjoying special food and drink prices in a casual and relaxed atmosphere.

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner which means Love, Passion & Romance is screaming at us from every direction. Top news stories, radio talk show hosts, advertising media and Hallmark are having a great time promoting this one day that is set apart for Romance, Red Wine and Roses. It’s a great ‘holiday’ for couples. For unattached Singles of all ages, not having that special person becomes even more obvious at Valentines. It makes many feel like there must be a big ‘L for Loser’ on their foreheads!

The reality is that with over 50% of the Heads of Households being ‘Single’ today, there are many attractive, intelligent singles in Columbus who have found success in their lives with the exception of the whole ‘love’ thing. They are in their late twenties, busy with professions; in their thirties and forties, busy as single parents and in their fifties and sixties; reeling from divorce after 20 years of marriage. They are your lawyers, your accountants, your hair stylists and your Maytag repairmen.

Take out the percentage who are ‘attached’ or those who have no desire to meet someone special (hard for some to understand), there is still a large group of Singles in search of that special person in their lives. The question becomes ‘where do they find them?’

Park Place Singles has an answer that seems to be working very well for many Columbus Singles. Offering the opportunity to meet ‘offline’ at fun local activities and events as well as ‘online’ through their exclusive Members Only Website, Park Place is celebrating a successful first year of connecting Singles in friendship and romance.

Last February, the first Valentines Happy Hour Party marked the grand opening of Park Place Singles resulting, so far, in over 200 members, 1 marriage, an engagement and many strong relationships – both friends and romance. Over 30% of new members come from current member referrals.

Audra Stewart, one of the founders, said “At Park Place, we’re not all looking for the same type of relationship, but we are all looking for more fun, relaxed options of meeting and socializing with others. Added to that is a comfort level afforded by the knowledge that members are screened for any reported convictions of a physically violent or threatening nature through a national background check. “

Park Place invites Singles in Columbus to check them out and to join their celebration at the 2 nd Annual Valentines Happy Hour Party. It promises to be a night of fun and a great opportunity to dispel those Valentine’s Blues.

Park Place Singles Offers Columbus Singles a Safer, More Relaxed Way to Meet Others

Columbus, OH (PRWEB) February 24, 2005 -- Valentine’s Day is over. That means we don’t have to suffer through top news stories, radio talk show hosts, advertising media and Hallmark screaming Love, Passion & Romance at us from every direction for at least another year. That’s good news for a large percentage of the population today who are unattached singles missing that feeling in their lives.

Over 50% of the Heads of Households in America today are Single. They are in their late twenties, busy with professions; they are in their thirties and forties, busy as single parents and they are in their fifties and sixties; reeling from divorce after 20 years of marriage. They are your lawyers, your accountants, your hair stylists and your Maytag repairmen. The only thing many have in common is the desire to have that special person in their lives and the question of where to find them. It shouldn’t be that hard.

With the ever-increasing numbers of Singles, the Dating Industry has virtually exploded. Dating Services, Speed Dating, Matchmakers and Online Dating are breaking records – both in the amount of services available and the amount of people who participate in them. You would think the last thing that would be needed in any city would be another venue for Singles to meet each other, but the members and founders of Park Place Singles haven’t found that to be true.

Park Place Singles was formed to accommodate those who are either frustrated with the current venues or are looking for an option that is more suited to them. Through fun and relaxed events, such as Happy Hours, Dinners and Comedy Clubs, the members are able to get to know each other casually, without pressure and discomfort. Many of the members like having the ability to communicate and network with other members through an interactive ‘member’s only’ website. Peace of mind is an added benefit. Through a National Background check, Park Place screens all applicants for marital status and any felony or other reported convictions that may have been of a physically violent or threatening nature.

Though relatively new, Park Place Singles has already had successful love matches and there promises to be a lot more. Next Valentines Day, due to this organization, there will be more couples in Columbus celebrating their Love, Passion and Romance. Until then, a lot of Singles are actually having fun while getting to know each other.

Singles Meeting and Dating Scene in Columbus Ohio Takes on a Fun, New Attitude

Columbus, OH (PRWEB) October 26, 2004 -- Multiple factors have contributed to the fact that there is a higher percentage of singles today than ever before. Once out of the college scene, it becomes increasingly difficult for those who are single to meet others resulting in many going to bars, dating services or matchmakers. Others choose to stay home due to their frustration with the limitations of these options.

Through interviews with singles of all ages, the founders of Park Place Singles knew the timing was right for something different. Their mission is to bring singles together into a common, fun alliance where they are the ‘rule’ and do not have to feel like the ‘exception’.

Park Place Singles members enjoy the opportunity to meet others in a variety of activities and events without the pressures of being ‘matched’ or of compromising the busy lifestyles they face today. The Park Place concept includes many aspects not found in any other singles dating service or organization. In addition to the activities, members have the benefit of an On-line Members Only site which includes a Members Directory with pictures and profiles, Calendar of Events, Interactive Message Board and Business/Professional Networking. Members also like the fact that National Background checks are performed on each applicant to verify single status and a screening for felonies or other reported convictions of a physically violent or threatening nature.

Although not every member is looking for the same type of relationship, it seems that every member is looking for a better way to meet other quality singles. Audra Stewart, a sharp 38 year old single and a strong part of the Park Place management team, commented that “Our members want to spend their limited free time doing the things they enjoy with other singles who share their interests – not looking for them. For some, having a successful experience at Park Place Singles is finding their soul mate; others are fulfilled when they have made some great new friends doing the things they already love to do.”

Audra loves when people check them out. “When singles come to our offices and see the heart of the organization and all that’s available to them here, they want to be a part of it. In fact, 87% of the singles who have come in for an interview have become members and it’s not because of any high-pressured sales tactics. We know that if we have to convince someone to become a member, we’ll have to convince them to have fun and get involved later on!”
